Parents as Partners

Our main objective is to focus upon the relationship between the child, their parents and the practitioners. This will begin from the first stages of the child’s settling into the setting and will continue throughout the child’s growth at the British Oak Tree School. Our view is to see parents as partners and to build this relationship as the child learns and develops with The Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.

The practitioner has special responsibilities for working with a number of children, giving them the reassurance to feel safe and cared for which reflects upon the positive relationships with the practitioners and the parents

British Oak Tree School provides consistent communication between parents and practitioners, whether it be through your unique online login via the British Oak Tree website, verbally via meetings or telephone, or via hand delivered letters, if need be. This contributes to the ongoing positive relationships between the parents and practitioners and between the child and their parents which is the most important relationship of all.
